With over 32 years of experience in architecture, structural engineering and transportation consultancy, Dr. T. Mayil Vahanan brings extensive practical knowledge to the leadership of Step2TNCDBR.
His professional journey includes more than 1,000 building projects across Tamil Nadu, over 50 bridges and related structures, and highway projects spanning more than 500 kilometres. His work covers residential, commercial, educational and public infrastructure developments.
He earned his doctorate in Transportation Engineering from Anna University, his Master’s degree in Structural Engineering from Annamalai University and his professional qualification in Architecture from the Indian Institute of Architects.
Under his guidance, Step2TNCDBR brings together engineering expertise and digital technology to simplify access to land use information, feasibility assessments and building rule guidance. His vision is to help property owners and professionals make informed planning decisions and approach the development approval process with greater clarity.
Alongside his consultancy practice, he contributes to engineering education as a visiting professor and guest lecturer, while pursuing the application of artificial intelligence in planning and transportation.
