As per Annexure - XVII [See rule 19] 2(a)

Buildings near civil or defence aerodromes must comply with Civil Aviation and Defence authority norms. DGCA rules apply; a No Objection Certificate is required for constructions over 30m within 20 km of an aerodrome. Relevant zones in the Chennai Metropolitan Area are indicated in the annexed map.

Quarries and Crushers

As per Annexure - XVII [See rule 19]

• 3(a) No layout or building for any purpose is allowed within 500m of a live quarry. If abandoned, a certificate from the local body is required.
• 3(b) No layout or residential, commercial, or institutional building is allowed within 500m of an existing crusher.
• 3(c) Crushers are not permitted within 500m of existing residential areas.

Archaeological Survey of India

As per Annexure - XVII [See rule 19]

• 7(i) No construction is permitted within 100m of protected monuments (as per the Archaeological Monuments and Ancient Sites and Remains Act, 2010).
• 7(ii) Construction between 100m and 300m is allowed only with prior approval from the competent authority.
